How To Spruce Up Your House For Fall

How To Spruce Up Your House For Fall

There's a chill in the air, leaves are about to start changing color, and it feels like Halloween is around the corner. For some people, this means cuddling up in a blanket with hot chocolate, but for me, I'm already planning my next soy candle purchase (in September, mind you) to get some spooktacular new scents.

This fall, let's spruce up our houses to set the tone for the season. Ways to do this are to turn on the lights! For me, it's all about lighting soy candles. Soy candles that are scented like pumpkin or anything up that alley are my type of fall scents.

After lighting some soy candles, setting out a fall colored bouquet on the coffee table is a nice way to welcome guests into your home. The warm colors help set the tone.

Another idea is to put a candle jar, maybe one from a repurposed candle with some branches in it, and placing it on the kitchen counter or dining room table. This is a great way to bring fall inside without going overboard, and looks beautiful as well!

And of course, decorating for fall is a big part of it as well! Putting up some twig and autumn leaf garland will set the tone for fall. Decorating your house in fall could include changing up the furniture, stitching a big beautiful fall pillow, or putting tulle around your chairs- anything that can help you get into the spirit of the season.

Buying new throw blankets in dark colors is also another way to set the tone for autumn. It's just something about darker colors that seem spookier while lighter colors are more summer.

Have some fun with it. Any of these options are a great way to spruce up your house for fall. From the decorations to the scents you choose, it's all about what makes you feel happy.
